As a retired Chief Petty Officer who served with the United States Marine Corps for 15 of my 19 year career and served in 3 combat zones. I know what it means to protect and defend our way of life. To learn what it means to lead under extreme conditions. You and I, did this for our belief in our Country its constitution and faith that our people are good and provide an example to the world.
From the depths of history to our current state of affairs we have as a people sacrificed and served our causes well. For this reason I plan to extend my service to this country and its people as a Congressman. The path we have followed has become blocked and needs clearing. I intend to lead from the front to bring the needs of the people to the forefront and lead a reconstruction of a Government by and for the People.
Veterans I know you well and appreciate the service you have given this Country and you can count on me standing up for your rights. When in combat your mission is dangerous and your judgement cannot be second guessed to make the right decisions. As long as the professionalism remains, I stand by your decision. You are a warrior and there is a warrior's creed.
My stance:
1. Strong defense is a strong offense. I support responsible defense spending, a strong standing force, technologically advanced yet practical. A force that has the benefits and opportunities for the sacrifices they make.
2. Justifiable use of; as to why, we put our honorable sons, daughters, mothers and fathers into harms way. Its not just a tool to advance political and or financial gain for individuals or Capitalism.
3. I support a strong VA system to help care for the Vets who have contracted and or service related injuries in the performance of their duties. NO Veteran would be left behind.
4. Antagonize no one yet be strong; I do not support the deployment of weapons systems into territories that once were part of the Soviet Union. I think we are close enough with the past positions we hold as long as we continue to technologically update them. In other words common sense would dictate; if you back an enemy or animal into a corner you are going to get bit. We have no reason to provoke anyone. We should be setting the example of peace.
